A large company in the hospitality industry is looking for a houseman to join us at one of our resorts in the Harrismith area.

Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest chalets under supervision of housekeeping supervisor. A houseman promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems. To ensure all rooms are thoroughly cleaned, with key aim of enhancing the customer experience by having excellent standards of resort cleanliness within specified time frames as per trained Standard Operating Procedures.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Trolley stocking & preparation
Guest Room Cleaning Procedure
Guest Security
Deliver excellent customer service
Ensure all Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times
Ensure that all House Rules are adhered to at all times
Assisting with laundry

Candidate Requirements
Requirements

Grade 12
At least two years’ experience as a houseman or similar position within the hospitality industry is a pre-requisite.
Be able to communicate clearly in English,
Be of a friendly and outgoing disposition
Be of good health
Be willing to work overtime and over weekends and public holidays is a pre requisite
