About the role

This role takes responsibility for day to day HC Operations and business as usual HC activities. These are assigned by the Operations Manager and include business cycle activities (e.g. performance cycle), Employee life cycle activities (including on-boarding, progression, retention activities, staff terminations & retirements), as well as ad-hoc advisory activities
At the Senior Associate level it is expected that the individual is able to operate as team leader for above activities as well first level advisory to the business (Management & staff)

Essential skills and experience

5 years HC

Required qualifications
Relevant post-graduate HC Degree/Diploma
HC certification with in-country professional board
Desirable skills or attributes
Sound understanding of key HC activities & employee life-cycle
Understanding of policies & employment law
Good team-working ability and mind-set
Good attention to detail
Time-management capabilities and ability to provide fast turn-around without compromising quality
Consultation skills
Investigative skills
Good communication skills โ€“ verbal & written
Ability to operate as all-rounder
Ability to take the lead on assigned activities
Responsibilities

Onboarding
Delivers the onboarding experience as designed by CoE
Arranges, prepares, facilitates on-boarding
Ensures hiring manager receives checklist for new joiner requirements (assign coach, assign buddy, introduce to colleagues, discuss responsibilities)
Responds to operations related feedback from new joiner surveys
Provides feedback and input to CoE on improvements required
Ensure on-boarding activities adequately prepare staff to deliver and quality requirements are met
Experience cycles/Graduate programs
Take responsibility for assigned groups of graduates โ€“ onboarding, performance monitoring, communications, experience / rotations
Take the lead on the operational requirements for LOS related retention programs (snrs days, interview cycles for retention)
Performance & Salary reviews
Work with Ops Manager to prepare performance cycle calendar
Work with HC Communications to prepare performance cycle communications to HC, Partners, managers, staff
Work with LOS HCBP to prepare for LOS career round table (moderation) meetings
May facilitate some CRT discussions/ record keeping
Ensures transactional staff receive accurate data for increase processing
Provide refresher training/updates to partners/managers on performance coaching
Provide guidance for Poor performer discussions (ensure performance improvement plans are in place)
People Managers
Upskill new People managers
Provide cyclical updates
Staff terminations
Review departure survey outcomes and advise LOS HCBP
Conduct exit interviews
IR, Disciplinary & grievance
Direct all matters to operations IR for review
Participate in investigations where required
Sit in as HC representative on hearings
Take responsibility for post-hearing activities
Exam Results
Take the lead on qualifying exam results โ€“ preparation, processing, communications, post results activities
Monitor qualifications status of staff studying
Projects
Participate on and take the lead on assigned annual activities such as GPS, Values, Leave reviews
Advisory

Act as advisor on policy, leave and other staff matters
