Handyman/Maintenance man for Guest Lodge

A well-established Guest Lodge in Cape Town is on the lookout for a young, energetic handyman/maintenance man that is willing to learn. You will report directly to the general manager and besides general maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, you will be responsible for dealing with all unexpected maintenance issues.

Duties:

Ensure facilities are in optimal condition
Maintain high standards of working area, lodge facilities and equipment
Operate power tools and equipment
Maintain garden and pool areas
Repair hotel furnishings and appliances
Attributes:

Good English communication skills
Reliable and responsible
Able to work unsupervised

Able to multitask
Friendly and service orientated
Minimum requirements:

Under 30 years old
Grade 12/ Matric
Valid work permit
Min 1year experience in a similar role
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and building
Reside close to Cape Town to avoid transport issues
