Job Advert Summary
We are looking for a reliable Handyman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at our Client's site.

The perfect candidate will provide a professional handyman service by ensuring timeous and accurate maintenance throughout the premises.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Computer Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Minimum 5 years Handyman / Maintenance experience
Good understanding of SLA's and management of contracts
A Solid understanding of all aspects of building maintenance
Knowledge of CMMS systems
Valid Driver's license


Duties & Responsibilities
Technical
• Attend to all HVAC complaints
• Check Plant rooms and ensure clean water is supplied
• Attend to storm water when required
• Replace light bulbs
• Fix broken furniture
• Maintain tool boxes and equipment
• Report all technical defects and assist in rectifying
• Provide accurate water meter readings as required

Non-Technical
• Cleaning of the basement, storerooms and dedicated areas as instructed
• Relocate desking as per agreed office layout, give assistance when called upon
• Erect white Boards, pinboards, pictures etc.
• Assist staff with moving of boxes, filing etc.
• Working together with gardening Staff on site
• Ensure all contractors onsite perform work to required standards
• Check exterior condition of building i.e. paving, doors, gates, fence, boundary wall, carports etc.
• Check parking areas, basement

Pro-Active Checks
• Check all facilities are in good working order
• Check for plumbing leaks
• Check for blocked drains
• Check sump pumps on a monthly basis
• Check all lights are in working order
• Check windows are all in good order
• Check carpets and tiles are in good order
• Feedback to be given to manager on a daily basis with all queries or requests
