Title: Handyman

Reports to: Production Manager

Liaises with: Production Manager, Food Technologists, Supervisors, Cleaning Staff

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Duties and Responsibilities

To undertake minor items of repair and maintenance, including minor repairs of fixtures and fittings.
Responsible for all planned preventative maintenance on site, including but not limited to proactive and reactive work.
Responsible for building maintenance (upkeep of building and surrounding areas).
To assist with minor plumbing, including unblocking of drains and sinks etc.
To deal with minor repairs where necessary as instructed by the various departments.
To deal with minor electrical repairs and fixings.

Responsible for the maintenance of all electrical equipment on site.
Regularly check external areas for any potential danger to people on site.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 certificate
KEY COMPETENCIES:

Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to check job cards, delivery notes, measurements etc.
Competent at basic building repair and maintenance.
Use of small industrial/electrical/mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of food safety and health and safety.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
