Minimum Qualifications/ Experience Required for this Position:

Grade 12
Reception or office administration qualification/s
2-5 years’ experience working in an office environment
3- years’ experience working in a Gym/ Fitness environment
Valid exercise science or personal training qualification added benefit but not compulsory
Valid first aid level 1 CPR and AED certification certificates at all times during employment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
People orientated person
Telephone and communication skills
Be able to handle all personality types

General description of the job:

Interacts with gym members - continuous communication, consistently ask to give assistance
Be involved in the assistance and roll-out of any centre promotions and/or events taking place at his/her gym
Ensure the daily completion of gym administration (Gym Stats, Member Forms, Assessments, Hours etc.) is carried out
Be involved in administration related to daily checklists such as maintenance reports, equipment reports and any sundry admin procedure whereby the manager asks for assistance in task completion.
Ensure that he/she meets task/duty deadlines.
Ensure regular gym team contact (Email, MOD Book)
Attend regular centre meetings
Assist members in any reasonable capacity to ensure the members have the best possible experience when entering the gym.
Ensure that core shift hours are devoted to gym member assistance
Ensure timeous arrival for shifts at all times
Daily completion of administrative duties must be carried out
Compiles weekly and monthly reports
Conduct Appointment bookings and diary management for all health professionals
Assist 1on1 suppliers and service providers
Telephone and intermediary communications
Gym Member Interaction (Continuous communication, consistently ask to give assistance, always be friendly and open to communication)
Daily management and coordination of corporate gym activities.
Involved in admin related to daily checklists such as maintenance reports, equipment reports and any sundry admin procedure whereby the Manager asks for assistance in task completion.
Ensures that he/she meets task/duty deadlines.
Attend regular centre meetings
Assist members in any reasonable capacity to ensure the members have the best possible experience when entering the gym.
Gym orientation, member assessments and program prescription.
Conducts Member inductions and referrals if need be (High Risk) according to the process flow.
Ensure the daily optimum functioning of the gym
Performance of maintenance checks, preventative maintenance and arranging services
Responsible for all marketing material in its entirety and the tracking of the marketing material and competitions and winners etc. This includes submitting content briefs submission on time and marketing distribution through relevant channels by the designated deadline to ensure sufficient exposure.
Must know the content of the service level agreements entered into between the company and the client, at which site they manage the facility. Gym Manager is responsible in ensuring he/she is aware of the relevant criteria.
Ensure their facility has a minimum take up of 30-45% percent of client employee base at their facility that they manage
Ensure that all processes/procedures are completed in the correct manner
Proposes fitness activities in line with health calendar and company wellness goals
Initiates/Drives /Promotes wellness activities in line with company wellness goals (10% reduction in hypertension, obesity, cholesterol) (60% employees participating in wellness initiatives)
Ensures 50 - 75% gym attendance of members
Conducts a client satisfaction survey twice a year and consolidates results presents to management, implements recommendations.
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R4,000.00 to R4,500.00 /month
