Appointment requirements: Basic literacy
Relevant experience in a waste management environment
Physically fit and healthy
Willing and able to work shifts and overtime
Personal attributes / competencies: Must be able to do physical work for continuous periods related to operation and maintenance activities; Ability to work under pressure; Must be able to work in a group; Good communication skills
Duties: Street sweeping; Litter picking; Cleaning of street bins; Removal of inert materials; Cleaning of open spaces; Loading of refuse bags; Washing of pavements; Removal of illegal dumping sites; Door-to-door household refuse collection on the trucks; Bin deliveries and washing of bins
