CORE COMPETENCIES:
To ensure that all Front Office staff are adequately trained to the level necessary in order to provide a high level of personalized service to all guests.
Overall responsibility for efficient running of Front Office department, ensuring all administrative correspondence is dealt with promptly and efficiently, and that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
A minimum of 5 yearโs management experience in Front Office in an upmarket environment essential;
Fully familiarised with the Opera Front Office system;
Daily balancing of revenue;
Compilation of monthly accounts and all internal house accounts, ensuring they are reconciled accurately and city ledgered on time.
Thorough, accurate figure work;
Accounting knowledge essential;
Peopleโs person with strong interactive skills;
Hands on operator, uses initiative;
Flexible approach and adapts to our Companyโs culture;
Self-motivated, instils trust and confidence;
Level headed during high pressure situations;
Works independently;
A valid, unendorsed, South African, code 08 driversโ license;
Compiling of rosters for entire Front Office department;
Ensuring staff are knowledgeable on hotel facilities, as well as policies and procedures;
Monitoring of โOโ status accounts and direct bills;
Ensuring maximum occupancy by applying yield management concepts;
Maintaining all floats and carrying out regular float checks
