Job Context Servest Integrated Solutions a division of Servest Group has an exciting opportunity for a Food Services Assistant (Waiter) available immediately. The position is based in Parktown JHB and reports directly into the Head Chef. The successful incumbent should reside in the immediate Johannesburg area.
Minimum Requirements Grade 12 tertiary qualification;
South African Citizen
Clear criminal record.
Previous experience in similar customer facing role is desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the health and safety of the kitchen staff.
Co-operate with their line manager on HSE matters.
Utilise work equipment and personal protective equipment in accordance with training and instructions provided.
Must possess discipline not to interfere with or misuse anything provided for HSE purposes.
Report HSE hazards, accidents, incidents, illness and/or diseases to line management.
Have sound knowledge of SJC requirements for fire, safety, health and hygiene
Report health and safety issues to line management, including accidents and near misses
Promote good safety habits and methods of work
Clean all work areas during and after use and remove all waste to designated areas

Change table linen as required and ensure dirty or damaged linen is counted and exchanged with clean, usable items
Ensure that sideboards on stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen or other established needs; either food or equipment


Effective time management;
Ability to work under pressure;
Passionate about delivering a world class service at SJC;
Ability to work in a team and individually and possess own initiative.
Possess creativity and extensive knowledge in food.
Must be a good team player and have a flexible approach and a great attitude
May be required to multi skill to other areas of the operation
Excellent customer service skills are essential
Must be adaptable, willing, passionate and hard working
Provide a friendly and professional service to all customers and clients.
Responsibility for ensuring that all food and beverage areas are fully stocked, and the working environment is clean and tidy.
Responsible for serving all food and beverages within a timely manner and attend to customer requests in order to ensure they have a great customer experience
