The purpose of this position is to support the business with the financial management, regulation, validation and consolidation of financial information and to provide an integrated financial governance and assurance to the General Manager as well as the Group Finance Manager.
Duties:
Alignment of standard costing
Responsible for alignment of budgets
Clear pattern of self-development and learning increased expertise and performance
Ensure all responsible managers meet operational/financial goals and standards
Align strategic business initiatives/strategies with operational execution
Established value added management reporting
Optimized financial processes to ensure accurate product costing and standards
Plans executed effectively, progress reviewed and actions revised
Identify areas for improvement and communicate to the relevant stakeholder. These action plans needs to be tracked and reported.
Decisions need to be prompt and implemented with consultation and agreement of relevant stakeholders
Essential partner within the consolidation of budget planning and business plan process
Department complies fully with governance/audit/risk requirements
Work procedures and processes are aligned and improved to ensure smooth flow of work across units
Agree and meet Service Level Agreements and build collaborative relationships with the Executive Team, Sites, Corporate Finance and business partners
Build effective and trusting relationships with indirect reports, managers and peers
Implement talent management and ensure that succession plans and development actions are in place
Setting the overall standards for financial reporting and governance
Train, mentor, coach team on specific tasks or activities, give advice, guidance and feedback on the basis of knowledge and expertise
Engage and communicate to business partners
Establish a culture of mentoring, coaching and developing
Drive optimization and improvement of the system and work process which enhance productivity and service levels that are aligned to business needs
Create and environment for challenging status quo, risk rating improvement and sharing of knowledge
Implement new ideas and improve methods, systems and work processes that will lead to higher quality, better results in reduced or reduced cost
Optimize the potential of cost control and management by re-evaluating existing processes and providing direction on new ways of working
Drive initiatives that will reduce product costs through new approaches
Requirements:
CIMA minimum qualification would be an advantage (or similar)
Minimum 8 years of relevant business experience, of which 4 should be at a management level
South African citizenship
Clear criminal record
