The AHRI Driver is responsible for the transfer of passengers between various sites, including but not limited to AHRI Durban and AHRI Somkhele on a regular basis.

Specification
They are are also responsible for the safety of passengers by ensuring the service and maintenance of the vehicle is up to date. When not driving, they will assist in the general office as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

1. Matric or equivalent
2. Possess and maintain a safe driving record with no serious offenses against his/her name
3. Must possess a valid South African Code B Driver’s License
4. Professional driving permit (PDP)

Minimum Experience

1. Previous 4 - 5 years work experience as a driver

Knowledge Required

1. Knowledge of the operations and features of assigned vehicle(s)
2. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably isiZulu
3. Good computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Advantageous

1. Previous professional working experience in the transportation of hazardous goods
2. IATA Dangerous Goods Training and Certification
3. Ability to administer First Aid and CPR
4. Advanced / Defensive Driving Training
