Giraffe is an automated mobile recruitment app that aims to help reduce unemployment in South Africa by connecting medium-skilled jobseekers with opportunities and enabling businesses to hire staff faster and cheaper than any other way.
Having achieved significant growth since launching in 2015, reaching ~700k users and securing investment from eBay founder and Silicon Valley billionaire Pierre Omidyarโs VC fund and FirstRandโs Vumela fund, Giraffe is now looking for a highly talented, hands-on digital marketing manager to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
Our goal is to create a scalable, profitable business whilst generating significant positive social impact in South Africa and emerging markets in general. The Digital Marketing Manager position is key to enabling us to reach this goal.

Specific core responsibilities include:
Marketing strategy, execution planning and budget management
Defining target metrics for lead generation and conversion, and managing against targets
Managing a marketing budget ensuring high ROI
Managing internal team and outsourced partners
Managing all marketing functions- including strategy, content, SEO, SEM, digital marketing, marketing automation and PR
Managing a small internal team (2-4 people initially)
Identifying what to insource and what to outsource
Managing outsourced providers
Working closely with content writers to devise new ideas for digital campaigns- for both employer and jobseeker
Executing digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation
Managing all digital marketing channels- including Google, facebook and linkedin- to drive brand awareness and lead generation
Conceiving, creating, operating and analysing ROI on all campaigns- including audience selection, managing pixels and conversion tracking
A/B testing, iterating and optimising campaigns to enhance effectiveness and maximise ROI
Conceiving and experimenting new methods to drive awareness, conversion rates and revenue growth, whilst reducing customer acquisition cost and increasing virality
Requirements
Educational and work experience requirements
Bachelors degree from a top-tier university- min 60%
At least 4 yearsโ experience in DIGITAL marketing
Experience managing a team of 1-2 people
Expertise in using facebook ad manager, linkedin ad manager, adwords
Experience in Hubspot highly desirable
