Job Description • Adjustment and repairs to trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and diagnose faults to vehicle components such as; braking systems, steering mechanisms wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating conditions. To perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking levels and electrical equipment such as batteries. Lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Adjust and reline brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment in a safe manner
• Attend to breakdowns as and when necessary, work standby and shift where necessary in rotation with other mechanics. Adhere to company regulations, SHEQ and housekeeping standards at all times
Position Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on our fleet of trucks and trailers as well as on-road breakdowns and other repairs as required, in line with company policy and to Legislation standards.
Specific Role Responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience • Diesel Mechanic – N3
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license, Code 14 with PDP will be advantageous.

• Min 3 years’ experience on Trailers and Trucks of varying makes will be an advantage.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license, Code 14 with PDP will be advantageous.
• Must have own tools and transport to get back and forth to work
