Our Client in Cape Town requires a Delivery Manager - Systems and Technology Integration for a contract role. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of the Architecture, Infrastructure, Testing,Deployment, Support and BAU workstreams for the project. This individual will be supported by Team Leads for each area and will be actively involved in planning, executing

and reporting on issues, risks and status.The primary role of this individual is to focus on the integration of all the components of the solution through integration testing and ensuring that the solution is technically sound. Also ensure clear deployment approach and plan as well as establish necessary support procedures to support the solution and business once live.

Qualifications

3Yr Diploma in Information Systems
BCom Information Systems
BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems)
Qualification in Project Management (PMBOK, Agile)
Professional qualification Level 6 or equivalent knowledge and skills

Responsibilities

Ensure that project deliverables are co-ordinated and completed to time, quality and budget constraints
Coordinate and integrate activities across multiple functional lines
Ensure timely and effective communication with the project team and project stakeholders
Manage project dependencies and team and stakeholder relationships as it relates to the project
Provide strong planning and process skills to the team, and assume accountability for the definition and execution of the project plans including project initiation, planning,execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing out of the project
Performance evaluation
Ensure the solution is fully tested; all critical and high defects resolved; impact assessment and workarounds for lower severity defects
Ensure infrastructure strategy is defined and environments commissioned prior to phase required
Architecture foundation is sound and aligned to project delivery
Deployment strategy, roadmap and rollout of the solution
Establish necessary support processes to support solution and business is in place for go-live
Project reporting
Facilitate communications between the project team and stakeholders to prevent issues, rectify issues, manage risk and support delivery of the project objectives
Manage stakeholder expectations

Experience

5+ Years as Project Manager, Integration Manager or Test Manager with hands on experience in Testing, Infrastructure, Architecture, Deployment, Support and BAU
Knowledge

Strong experience in Projects and Project deliverables
Has detailed practical knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and
techniques with in depth knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Good knowledge of the Retail business environment
Hands in experience in Testing (across all testing phases)
Hands on experience in Architecture deliverables
Integration to 3rd party systems:
Infrastructure definition, strategy, commission and maintenance
Deployment and Cutover
Support and Hypercare (Processes and Tools)
Loyalty Experience (nice to have)
ICT background particularly in ICT infrastructure projects or development projects
Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines/milestones

Experience of using project tools
