Description

Ensure that the system is monitored, cleaned up by using the management tools, available on SAP EWM.
Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operational efficiencies.
Ensure that customer orders and jabs are managed daily and that wave item clearing is maintained with no orders in excess of 48 hours.
Assist with implementation and optimization of new projects related to improving the efficiency of operations.
Ensure that all resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment, is maintained and in safe operating conditions.
Ensure that the battery bay is well controlled and all electrical powered machines are changed daily and kept in good working condition.
Analyse all Outbound data from a performance perspective and take corrective action when required.
Ensure that picking supervisor's sign off discrepancies and that picking aisles are neat and product integrity is maintained.
Ensure that all orders are distributed as per standard operating procedures.
Ensure pick exception codes are used correctly.
Ensure Warehouse task split function is used correctly with no Unnecessary splitting.
Ensure that resources and queues are monitored and optimised as per operational requirements.
Ensure optimal planning and forecasting of department resources to meet the day-to-day strategic objectives.
Develop and Implement solutions for addressing large seasonal shipments or unusual/ special packaging.
Ensure effective management and maintenance of resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment.
Ensure that all stock discrepancies are reported to the inventory team.
Manage shelf life to ensure no short-dated and/or expired stock is dispatch to customers.
Analyse and interpret all potential departmental shrinkage indicators and act accordingly.
Ensure that checking stats related to accuracy and productivity is maintained and take corrective action when required.
Resolve personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, and identifying solutions and take corrective action.
Ensure all managers and supervisors in the department manage their staff efficiently.
Competencies

Essential:

Knowledge of Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Emergency process, Public Safety and Security, Customer Service, Transportation Principles and Methods, Production and Processing, Material Handling Standards, Administration and Management, Supply Chain and Personnel and Human Resources Management.
Have knowledge of the business measures and targets, directly related to own role.
Demonstrate thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of all Distribution Centre, logistics and supply chain operations.
English -Read, write and speak.
Basic Financial Skills.
Trustworthy and Honest.

Profile
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric
Relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 1 - 2 Years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
Advantageous:

Relevant experience in the field of Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
Experience in the Retail/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems.
