Job Description
A vacancy exists in DivFood Sales department for a Customer Service Representative. This position is graded at Peromnes 08 and reports directly to the Category Manager.
MAIN PURPOSE:
Manage the customer relationship and supply chain to ensure optimal delivery of products to the customer. This includes understanding the customerโs needs and referring it to the relevant decision makers and providing feedback to the customer to ensure efficient and professional support, resulting in the achievement of OTIF.
To monitor and co-ordinate the order fulfilment process and ensure effective customer service of allocated customers
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Forecasting
Gathering of market intelligence
Sales target achievement by Customer;
On time in Full (โOTIFโ) Compliance;
Monitoring working capital (debtors and stock)
General sales administration and quotations
Sales Order taking, capturing on JDE and processing
Pro-active order book management
Assisting in the supply chain process
New customer enquiries, providing quotes, etc
New product development
Selling price increases/decreases
Assisting with customer technical support
Expanding the business
To provide a direct and telephone based service to customers and support function to Sales team as well as supply chain
Pro-active customer liaison
Effective handling and processing of price queries, invoicing and credit adjustments
Liaising with Logistics in planning Mobeni / Cape Town loads
Controlling consignment warehouse
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Sales / Marketing Degree
Minimum 3 yrs. experience in Sales / Customer Service in the Manufacturing Industry
Computer Skills (JDE, Demantra, Q-Pulse, BI, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Windows and Excel)
Driverโs license essential - Frequent out of town travel (Company car and fuel provided)
Must be willing to work outside of normal working hours
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to evaluate a customerโs account profile and actively communicate all issues
Must have the ability to extract pertinent information from the customer (eg forecasts, opposition activity, pricing)
Must have highly developed interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills with a service-driven attitude and problem solving skills
Sales orientated, with a strong customer service ethic and the ability to effectively present the companyโs products and services
Good organisational skills and report writing skills
Profit and cost conscious
Remain calm under pressure and ability stay level headed
