Achieving monthly collection targets. Manage ageing of overdue not to exceed 60 days on age analysis. To resolve accounting queries and attend to account related requests from customers in an efficient and timeous manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Bad debts not greater than 1% of sales. DSO not to exceed 40 days. Cost effective telephonic follow up and making use of dunning letter to ensure positive cash flow. To prepare documentation for opening customer accounts. To perform risk assessments. To obtain Transunion reports as and when required. Evaluate and prepare documents for new and existing accounts. Creating and maintaining customer hierarchy in SAP. To serve as backup processer when the Junior Accountant (AP) is out of office

Daily
Perform customer risk assessments. Prepare documentation for opening accounts.
Follow up and resolve all account queries within a reasonable time. Maintaining the customer hierarchy and master data in SAP. Monitoring of credit limits and managing blocked orders. Attending to all debtors queries related to stock and pricing that may arise. Process credit notes for rebates and possible pricing issues. Downloading of PODβs to send to customers when requested. Meet with customers to build relationships and evaluate accounts.
Weekly / Monthly / Ad Hoc
Resolve accounting queries and attend to account related requests from customers in an efficient and timeous manner.
Manage customer ageing and days sales outstanding within predetermined guidelines.
Collect outstanding debtors and monitoring long outstanding amounts to limit write-downs. Follow-up on all accounts in a pro-active manner. Be customer focused at all times and strive to deliver excellent customer and client service.
Reconcile all accounts accurately within the month-end deadlines. Trace and verify payments from bank statement against customer remittance advice and process payments accurately against the correct debtors account. Ensure customers are timeously provided with accurate monthly debtors statements and maintenance of depletions and rebate information for customers. Ensure statements are submitted on the portals of major retailers on or before certain deadlines as required by the customers in their designated format.
Experience on EDI and retail portal B2B, PNP and UMS.
Minimum 3-5 years debtorsβ collection in FMCG, retail and wholesale market experience.
Knowledge of Transunion.
Advance excel and SAP.
Exceptional communication skills (written and telephonic).
Ability to take initiative, problem solving and work other team members in achieving common goals.
Ability to work independently and work under pressure.
CPA, NCA knowledge.
Ability to identify risks.
