Responsible to execute all customer service related tasks at the counter, in support of achieving a positive customer experience and in line with overall customer service processes.

Key responsibilities
Ensuring services are delivered to the customers, as promised and/or that the customers are kept informed of relevant deviations.
Serving as a contact point for the customer service and intermodal teams regarding special instructions or issues with cargo release.
Providing back up for colleagues as required.
Ensuring strict adherence to the Release SOP at all times.
Completing after-hours duty; dealing with Import and release queries.
Printing release documents including negotiable bills of lading, waybills, receipt for shipment bills and certificates.
Submitting manifests to Customs and Transnet Port Terminals, whilst maintaining vessel files for required periods of time.

Ability to work independently and within team and meet agreed deadlines.
