About the Position

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Cost Accounting Intern will play an active and pivotal role in the collection, consolidation, analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance of the Division. The broad aim of the role is to ensure that revenue, margins and profitability are accurately monitored and reported to the Managing Director to enable the optimization of margins and profitability as well as to assist in making decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand cost drivers for the Division
Assist in budget preparation and forecast
Compile, analyze and report on financial information of various business units within the Division
Responsible for cashflow and GL analysis
Ensure that all entries on the ledger are accurate and up to date
Liaise with all reporting personnel to ensure all required reports are submitted timeously

Generate Purchase Orders
General and Administrative duties
QUALIFICATIONS

BCom Accounting or BSc- Mathematics
