Our Chief Security Office prides itself in its unique structure that sees an integration and collaboration model between our Information Risk, Cyber, Resilience, Physical Security & Forensics teams to ensure effective risk management across all disciplines.
You will be responsible for providing Security Risk Management Services for Absa Group premises (e.g. Branches, Corporate Buildings and ATMβs) in a defined client region (e.g. East and Vaal Rand) , in accordance with Absa Forensics and Security policies, standards and procedures..
What youβll get to do:
The role is within the Chief Security Office and your responsibilities will include the following:
Conduct and report Security Risk Assessments (SRA) against agreed schedule, standards and guidelines and monitor the implementation of SRA Remedial Actions.
Present security awareness training to staff
Liaise with business units and provide expert opinion on new developments, products and solutions regarding physical security risk factors relating to the assigned portfolio, within the designated region
Liaise with and report on Physical Security deliverables to internal clients, as well as the performance of internal and external service partners, according to mutually agreed SLAs.
Ensure implementation of the security strategy and serve as an advisor related to Physical Security measures, for the specific area of responsibility, within the region
Minimise Absa's non-trading losses related to physical security breaches by providing statistics on incident losses and predictions of future possible incident rate, discuss and determine the risk appetite per business unit or individual client/s
Escalate crime predictions to the business for pro-active risk management in line with budget
Report writing
What do you need to get in?
Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
Five [5] yearsβ experience in a in a Security Risk Management or related discipline.
Two [2] years management experience in a in a Security Risk Management or related discipline
No criminal or adverse credit record
Three [3] year Security Risk Management Diploma or equivalent NQF level 5 qualification
General experience of the Banking environment
Application of Project Management methodology
Knowledge of Cash Chain Security
Knowledge of Building security
Knowledge of Retail Branch security
Knowledge of security technology, alarm systems, CCTV, etc.
