Co-ordinator/ Supervisor Role

- 2 Month contract position, with view to possible full-time employment
- Company: My client is a small, decluttering and downsizing company that focuses on managing downsizing, decluttering, moving and related services for clients. Many of their clients are in the process of moving into retirement homes and need assistance sorting the contents of their homes to decide what to take with them. They work mainly in the Johannesburg area but do occasionally undertake work in other parts of South Africa.
The successful candidate would be required to work 5 days a week and fulfil the following functions:
o Manage two staff members
o Liaise between the Directors, staff and clients
o Project manage and coordinate the decluttering, and moving process for a specific job
o Work with the staff and client to sort belongings,
o Coordinate packers, removal companies, auction houses and charity collections and other third-party service providers.
o Create and manage inventory lists in Excel
o Keep Directors constantly updated on the progress of a job.
o Occasionally drive the company vehicle.
• The successful candidate would need to meet the following requirements:
o Matric essential
o Any relative tertiary qualification would be advantageous
o Experience in the logistics, healthcare, project management or hospitality industry
o Project/Program/Process Management experience must be demonstrated
o Must be able to follow defined processes and instruction from others, while demonstrating initiative
o Be dynamic and enthusiastic
o Be able to get on with a wide range of people.
o Have previous work experience in managing staff
o Have some level of project management experience
o Must be willing to work later hours, on occasion
o Be sympathetic and compassionate especially in dealing with clients who are going through a traumatic moving and/or life experience. Patience and a high level of tolerance is an absolute requirement.
o Hold a valid driver’s license and own transport
o Have a high level of integrity and honesty
o Be highly organized and able to initiate, manage and complete a task.
o Be responsible and show mature decision-making skills
o Be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs, as well as the ability to communicate via WhatsApp and Email.
o R8000-R10000 (gross salary per month) depending on experience levels.
o R300 Cellphone allowance for Data and Voice consumption for work related use
o Reimbursement for motor vehicle usage at AA Rates
o 2% Monthly Commission based on overall company commission per month (variable
