Chartered Accountant CA(SA) (CR124)
Our client, a JSE listed FMCG company, based in Paarl, is looking to recruit a CA(SA) to join their team as Business Decision Support Manager.
Below is a list of responsibilities that will be performed by the successful candidate:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Business Decision Support - Business Unit
Support Managing Executive to achieve commercial and strategic objectives
Plan, co-ordinate and compile financial forecasts weekly
Analyse and report financial performance monthly against budget & gap analysis at country level
Plan, co-ordinate & compile monthly and quarterly reports

Develop & manage adherence to divisional financial policies & proceduresDetailed analysis of monthly income statements
GP analysis and variance reporting
Recommendations regarding intake Fruit Pricing
Monthly analysis of variable costs and SSC cost recons
Monthly analysis of expenses
Ensure necessary monthly provisions accounted for accurately
Understand what is the gap between current day reality and budget
Complete maintenance and oversight of claims and clearing register
Review of Debtors management - monitor debtors book & account status & targets
Assess credit cover and credit limits
Attend to audit requests and risk reporting
Management and reduction of claims & write-offs
Management of monthly provisions
Manage annual Budget compilation for Division
Direct support to Exec on implementation of policies and strategy
Manage FEC contacts and documentation
Calculate and provide for Mango producer payments
Track Production overhead recoveries
Review and feedback of fruit costings
Provide for all possible provisions within the fruit division
Analyse Income Statement trends and report there on
People Growth and Leadership
Achieve individual and team goals

Transfer knowledge and skills
Extend functional knowledge
Systems, Procedures and Practices
Assessing all accounting and financial controls
Assess adherence to all supply chain policies eg stock counting, backflushing, valuations, stores controls, bom management and amendments
Accountability of stock count with operations manager
Assessing payment policies
Relationship Results
Maintain external stakeholder relations
Establish functional network
Satisfy 'customers'
Utilise service provider network
Maintain interdepartmental relations
Innovation and Improvement
Manage change processes
Initiate continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified as a CA(SA)
2-5 yearsβ experience in a FMCG / Export / Fruit environment
