Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Grade 12 plus ITIL v3 Change Management Certificate

(Release, Control and Validation or Service Transition)

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION

NQF Level 6 IT qualification plus ITL v3 Change Management Certificate

(Release, Control and Validation or Service Transition)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

1 year working experience in IT environment

(SDLC or Change Management)

PREFERRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

2 plus years working experience in the SDLC, PM and/or Business Analyst

KEY RESULT AREAS

CHANGE MANAGEMENT/CHANGE CONTROL PROCESS

Compiling and communicating the deployment timeline for future software release cycles throughout business.

Ensure that the change calendar is accurately updated.

Ensuring that Pre Release Sign off is obtained for changes in time and that USD is updated accordingly.

Ensure test results and all related change documentation are attached to change (USD).

Ensure that changes scheduled for weekly deploys are authorised and resources are available.

Deployment plans are communicated on time.

Deployment meetings scheduled and minuted. All changes including post implementation testing resources covered in meeting.

Meetings scheduled and minuted. Minutes are store in a central repository (SharePoint).

Include current and future changes , prioritisation of changes and agreement on delivery dates.

Coordinating between software and hardware changes to avoid overlaps and impact

Follow up with Business and IT Test team during testing cycles.

Communicate and Report testing progress.

Ensure accuracy of data in USD.

Ensure that Change Process is followed to avoid and minimize Risk.

Prevent repeating findings.

USER SUPPORT

Communicate relevant status of changes to users

Attend to ad hoc enquiries from users

Arrange pre and post deployment meetings

Attend meetings

Providing Support and compile reports
MIS Reporting

Extract and distribute daily status reports

Compile monthly reports for management purposes

RELEASE COORDINATION

Coordinate all releases - follow up on changes progress (Dev, Test and Prod)

Compiling deployment plan, access and post implementation resources

Compiling and updating a bug list on Release day

Coordinate Post Imp Testing for all changes

Communicating to all users, developers and management on deployment dates

Communicating status of Releases during deployment

Escalating issues with Post Implementation testing

Communicating Overall success / failure of a change or Release

CHANGE ADMINISTRATION

Registering and closing changes on USD.

Updating statuses on USD.

Uploading approved and amended specifications/Implementation Plans.

Uploading test results to the relevant change.

Obtaining required signatures for authorization.

Communicating to the development teams that amended specifications has been uploaded to the relevant change on USD.

Daily Status Movement report for each release and change.

Progress Weekly Reports.

Daily Release Reports.

Daily Schedule (Hardware and Software).

Compose and maintaining release file.

Post Implementation Review changes.

Managing active Changes and future Releases.

Software and Hardware Changes.

Scanning and upload inactive changes.
