Leading global FMCG company situated in Umhlanga, Durban seek a Business Development & Strategy Manager with a CA(SA) qualification and at least 3 years commercial experience at a senior level plus good financial modelling experience and a strong track record of managing and delivering complex projects.

Successful candidate must be prepared to travel extensively both nationally and internationally.

Key Performance Areas:

Evaluate mergers, acquisitions and disposal opportunities for strategic fit and internal review
Structure due diligence investigations and reports
Financial analysis on existing and prospective assets
Develop financial models for project and acquisition evaluation
Assist with internal training on the group financial modelling standard
Liaison with potential external partners/counter parties/governments with regard to investment projects evaluating against Company strategy and development objectives.
Compilation of quarterly business review presentation growth project updates
Interpret financial models to confirm accuracy, hurdle targets and business evaluations

Develop and present financial analysis with conclusions of potential mergers, acquisitions and disposals for executive review.
Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA)
Commercial qualifications will be beneficial
At least 3 years commercial experience at a senior level
Good financial modelling experience
Must have good interpersonal skills and cultural awareness to build working relationships
Confident and self-assured with ability to engage with executive and senior management
Strong track record of managing and delivering complex projects and managing key stakeholders
Proactive and confident to make recommendations and decisions
Sound business and commercial skills with good judgement and decision making abilities
Highly developed communication and presentation skills with excellent reporting writing skills
Above average proficiency on the Microsoft office suite
Excellent organisational skills and deadline driven
Analytical and detail-orientated with continuous improvement mind-set
Innovative, intuitive with ability to anticipate, interpret and interpret complex issues
Must be prepared to travel extensively
