Breakdown Supervisor (Vehicle Control Centre)-Putco

Min 5 years’ experience working in the transport industry. Computer Literacy – MS Office (Excel intermediate level). Control centre experience will be an advantage. Electronic Monitoring systems will be an advantage. Mechanical and or Electrical experience will be an advantage. Good communication skills. Qualified mechanic or auto electrician an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Breakdowns:

Manage personnel working in the Control Centre.

Manage personnel working in the breakdowns vehicles in the different operational areas

Compile Daily Reports to BU’s and Head Office.

Manage working hours and Rosters for Control Centre Staff.

Use the Satellite Tracking to monitor and manage that breakdown crews/bakkies.

Cascade as per procedure and within the agreed timeframe to ensure all breakdown events are attended and resolved.

Operations:

Effective and efficient use of the Altech Netstar Fleet Management System to ensure that jobs are created/logged, daily / weekly / monthly reports are timeously distributed in line with prescribed guidelines of the Company policy and procedures:

As well as

Safely within and adhere to set parameters.

Report ALL Alerts and Alarms via the escalation and follow up protocols, and update accordingly.

Report ALL exceptions and follow up on the corrective / punitive action required for closure of

exceptions.

Log all feedback and submit calls / alarms for closure by Superior

Administration: Ensure formal take over and hand over between shifts.

Reporting: Draw formal reports from FMS as per the laid down requirements for the Control

Centre.

Compile and / or update the Operational Reports applicable in the shift period.

Accident and Incident: Attends to accidents and incidents in accordance with the Company

Procedure.

Shift working hours encompassing a combination of normal / staggered / night and split shifts as well as weekends and Public Holidays. These scheduled shifts will run over a period of 24 hours.
