Basic requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to service, install and maintain HVAC&R systems.
The candidate should have full knowledge of the industry and be in a position to lead his own assistant.
Industry knowledge & Drivers licence is essential with a minimum of 3
years work and driving experience. Code 10 with PDP
JOB PURPOSE:

To provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (AC) equipment and systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installations including carrying out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and systems.
Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and Plant.

Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
Assists in verification of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning spares purchased/supplied.
Record all jobs on tables.
Diagnose problems.
Repair without come-backs.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and workshops
Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
Make minor installation decisions
Perform regular cleaning of the equipment.
Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended, and type of work performed - electronic on tablets.
Collect data for reports.
QUALIFICATION:

3 years’ experience and theory.
An electrical qualification (1 x module) will be sufficient.
EXPERIENCE:

3 years’ experience in HVAC and REFRIDGERATION.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

Mature, energetic and quick-witted
Code 10 Drivers licence + PDP
Ability to work independently and for long hours.
