Account Manager
An opportunity exists for an account manager to sell Digital Advertising solutions to various industries in the Cape Town region.
You will be responsible for bringing in new business (70% of activity) as well as ensuring retention, satisfaction and growth within your assigned portfolio of regional and national customers.
You should be capable of achieving sales targets and love contributing towards overall sales objectives of the business as well as serving as strategic contact for your clients.

Initiate and develop professional relationships with top level decision makers to sell products and servicesDevelop a sales plan for targeted local companies focusing on business solutions that impact performance and drive strategic business needs
drive appropriate sales activity to develop and maintane sales pipeline
prepare and conduct formal sales presentations and quarterly business reviews
Manage customer expectations to ensure successful development, marketing, training and full implementation of programs
gather and analyze intelligence on competitive activity in the industry, and implement plans and strategies to deal and effectively counter these activities where possible
make reccomendations and implement strategies to increase penetration into the account base
Consult with and assist clients in developing a solution to drive and implement their brand strategies across the company's services and product solutions
effectively manage and control all expenses
maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
maintain and develop ongoing relations within the organisations team across all departments
ability to pursue new business across all relevant sectors
Account management (30%)
Implement, execute and ensure company meets service commitments as defined in existing premier account agreements
serve as a primary point of contact for all premier account corporate contacts and regional customers
responsible for account retention and growth within the portfolio of assigned accounts
implement proactive communication strategies as scheduled
maintain industry knowledge regarding customer trends and collaborate with customers regarding information about their business
Requirements for the position
Min 3 yearsβ experience in account management. Prefer experience with inside sales and sales processes.
Working knowledge of client problem solving, coordination of account management.
Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Sales preferred.
Experience managing many clients at any one time.
Experience dealing with difficult customers.
A background in Digital Sales, Audio & Visual Sales / Marketing would be advantageous
Experience selling business-to-business solutions to nationwide companies, preferably in the area of recurring revenue services.
Prior experience successfully working with national sales accounts with cycles lasting 4-6 months or more.
Track record of strong performance against sales goals and objectives, as evidenced in quarterly and annual goals - goals and targets not set.
Track record of exceeding revenue expectations by meeting and exceeding quotaβs and sales targets
Franchise and name-brand experience a plus.
