REVENUE AGENT (80 POSTS) (SIX MONTHS’ FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

Monthly stipend: R6 000

Job purpose: To assist the City with revenue collection through meter reading, delivery of disconnection notices and various other duties

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification Relevant experience Computer literate Willingness and ability to work shifts

Personal attributes and/or competencies: Good communication and interpersonal skills; organisational skills; willingness to accept responsibility; leadership qualities; good team worker

Primary functions: Meter reading Delivery of disconnection notices Update of replaced meters on SAP system Data purification related to addresses, dunning locks, etc Notifications resolution Outbound debt calling Smart meter monitoring and collection Disconnection monitoring Dispute and query resolution Negotiating settlement agreements with arrear debtors After-hour service relating to any section where client service might be deemed necessary
